These heating systems are also sealed combustion units. This maintains high indoor air quality by preventing backdraughting. In non-sealed units, it is possible that the products of combustion – including dangerous chemicals such as carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide – can be sucked back into the air you are breathing in the house. This cannot happen with a sealed combustion unit.
